Sometimes we are reluctant to move forward.  Afraid to take the next step.  To step out on to the waves because we’re terrified.  Scared that we will face more pain than we can bear.

We try to exile the hurtful parts of ourselves but it keeps on beating us up on the inside.  We push away our trauma and pain.  Not wanting to cause ourselves any more pain than necessary.

When we push away and hide it, the struggle stays.  It lingers into each day.  We can’t let it go or heal from it.  It eats us up inside.  We feel broken and numb beyond repair.

We all have parts that belong to us, that we don’t want to talk about.  We don’t want others to know.  We hide behind walls and protective guards in our hearts.  Not letting anybody in.  Afraid of what they might see if you do.

These things feel uncomfortable to talk about.  They make you feel vulnerable.  In a sense, you are entertaining your demon.  He is stuck in your mind; in this picture, you’ve created.  Holding you hostage.  Making your mind into your living hell.  When in truth, being vulnerable will help set you free.

Instead of backing away and isolating ourselves, we need to engage in the struggle.  Reluctance is like fear.  We need to face our fears and let them out.  Walk with God through it.  Embrace being vulnerable and face our past.  This is when healing begins…

Face your giants, your problems with the Lord by your side.  One by one, He will give you the strength to succeed.  He will give you what you need each day to make it through the day.  Follow through and He will restore you.

This will take some work on your part.  You have to learn to open up and communicate.  It’s best to find a therapist who is trained in the area of expertise that is needed.  In the process, you must tell reluctance to get out of here.  Get out of town.  Push it behind you and take the necessary steps forward.

Move toward your future.  Imagine yourself as being healed, picture it in your mind.   Work towards it.  Don’t focus on your pain but on your healing and how much better you’ll be when this is all said and done.

With God’s help, you will overcome because He has overcome.  He will make you a survivor.  Hope still comes for the hurting.  Open up your heart and let it out.  Then, you will feel like the weight of the world is off your shoulders.

It takes faith, courage, and trust in the Lord.  When you invite Him in and pray, things will begin to change.  Prayer changes everything and nothing stays the same.  Because you are beginning to work with Him instead of against Him.  Have faith that He will heal you in time and He is helping you.  God will never leave you, even in your darkest moments.

I hope that you will see the new you emerge.  You will become a new creation in Him.  You will learn who you are.  It will be a journey of self-awareness of yourself.  Self-awareness of who God is.  His love that He holds inside for you.

Stop being reluctant towards God, embrace Him, and His love for you.  Believe it.  When you replace your fear with His love, He wins because He is greater.  Greater than anything we face in this world.

Healing is possible and God is faithful.  Once it has started, He will continue it until it is finished.   God came to mend the broken-hearted and to heal our pain.  Put your hope in the living God.  He lives here among us.

A relationship with God changes our future and eternity.  It changes us for the better.  Making us into who we are meant to be, by His grace.  We are found in Him.  We will be restored and made alive in Him.

Engage with God and let Him in.  He wants to help you.  He wants to save you.  He is a mighty Savior.  Engage in your struggle so that you may overcome and be a survivor.  He will get you through this, anything that comes your way.  You are not alone.

Use the Armor of God.  Wrap yourself in Him and hold on.  Don’t let go.  Even if, you are holding onto the string of His garment…

Reluctance is a type of doubt.  So, banish it.  Kick it out to the curb.  Trust in Him and He will get it done.  Your hope will be restored when you let it go.  Push out those negative thoughts and refuse to let them take hold.  Embrace what you know to be true.

A relationship takes commitment and work.  Let’s fire it up and get started.  Burn threw it like wildfire.  When you do, you will find your heart.  You will find yourself.  You will find God.

Here is a Psalm, song of Praise, to help you along…

Psalm 91

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”

Surely he will save you
    from the fowler’s snare
    and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers,
    and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.

My hope is that you will dwell in the shadow of God.  Take refuge in Him and let Him be your shelter, your protector.  He will be your shield and a safe place.  Only good things will come when you lay it down. Trust in Him. May God bless you and keep you.  Stay strong my friend.

I love to write inspirational and spiritual pieces that are full of encouragement and engaging. I write about real life events filled with emotion. I want to help and encourage all those who are struggling and in pain, who are suicidal, and fill them with hope. The good news. I love to cook and have a healthy cookbook available as well.
