Psalm 13
For the director of music. A psalm of David.
1 How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts
and day after day have sorrow in my heart?
How long will my enemy triumph over me?
3 Look on me and answer, Lord my God.
Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death,
4 and my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,”
and my foes will rejoice when I fall.
5 But I trust in your unfailing love;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
6 I will sing the Lord’s praise,
for he has been good to me.
Pain and Suffering of This World
My version of Psalm 13
How long Lord will you let me suffer? How long Lord will you be silent?
I’m drowning in my emotions and thoughts. My heart is full of pain and sadness, each day. How long will you let Satan tempt me?
Please answer me, Lord, hear my prayers. Open my eyes to a new perspective so I’m not in the dark. Satan is rejoicing thinking he has won and overcome.
I know your love is great and I have faith in you. My heart is full of joy knowing you’ve overcome the pain and suffering of this world. In you, there is redemption through your blood.
You are good to me and I will worship and praise you only. I will follow you. You are my God and I am your child.
